La consultazione diretta della serie ne ha rivelato l'importanza per la storia dell’Ordine certosino e per la conoscenza del suo sviluppo in quelle regioni dell’Italia centro-settentrionale, Toscana, Emilia-Romagna e Veneto, che costituivano il territorio della storica Provincia Tusciae. Da qui la decisione di progettare una trascrizione del testo per renderlo disponibile all’approfondimento degli studiosi.
