Depuis sa fondation, le CRISP s'attache à analyser le rôle et l’évolution des acteurs qui prennent part à la décision politique, que ceux-ci soient politiques, économiques, sociaux, associatifs… Dans cette perspective, les partis politiques constituent des acteurs de premier plan et font dès lors l’objet de nombreux numéros du Courrier hebdomadaire. Aux études particulières, s’ajoutent depuis quelques années des synthèses permettant d’observer les évolutions significatives survenues tant au sein des formations examinées qu’en ce qui concerne les rapports qu’elles entretiennent les unes avec les autres.
Ce Courrier hebdomadaire s’attache à examiner l’évolution que les principaux partis politiques francophones ont connue entre le second semestre 2007 et la fin de l’année 2013. Sont examinés successivement le PS, le MR, les FDF, le CDH et Écolo.
Chaque chapitre traite des évolutions internes du parti considéré, de ses principales prises de position, de l’évolution de son implantation électorale, ainsi que de ses rapports avec les autres formations.
